i don't have MATLAB here on this linux machine that i'm using at work (when i
get home tonight, i can check this) but i thought (simply by recollection) that
MATLAB unloaded contents by rows, not columns (maybe i've confused this with
C?). to be wrong about this really will be a difficult neuron to rewire, but i
certainly admit i could be.
but i don't think this changes any of the points about this Index Origin
extension.
