The subscription form offers read-only as an option. So I have filed the
subscription at gmane.org.
The graphics and sources mailing lists are marked as discontinued at gmane.org
(http://gmane.org/info.php?group=gmane.comp.gnu.octave.sources and
http://gmane.org/info.php?group=gmane.comp.gnu.octave.graphics). And indeed,
when I try to post to one of these via gmane, I get an error message stating
this. So I guess there is no need to change anything.
