Hi Jordi,

thanks for you're bug suggestions in the other reply! I'll try to tackle some of them (and may also look through the bug-list "randomly" in case something sounds interesting and do-able).

Jaroslav had said he would like to mentor, but he seems to be busy
with his day job nowadays. I just want to say that I really like your
idea of a profiler, and I hope it happens. I wish I could mentor on
that one, but I don't have the necessary skills for it. I want to
encourage you and make sure you are not forgotten. A profiler would be
a great addition to Octave 3.6.

Thanks for your support on the profiler-idea! In principle, I'd also like to implement this myself and independently of GSoC, but of course I don't know how much time I have to work on this if I did something else over the summer; so it may be a smaller version or may take a lot more time if I can't do it as part of GSoC ;)

Regarding a mentor, I believe that the most important part is to have someone "officially" mentoring the proposal -- in the end, I already think it's best to discuss things with the community on the list rather than privately, so if I need guidance or comments on design plans (or whatever), I won't trouble a single person but the mailing list :D

Yours,
Daniel
