Hello, after going through the Ideas proposed by Octave and OEP:pkg, I would like to enhance the pkg facility in installing octave packages. Even though it is said that the OEP:pkg is incomplete, I understood the basic requirement is to enable installing of packages in 2 ways(global and local) and enable user to use other's packages externally. This can be accomplished by maintaining separate databases of the packages in separate folders appropriately. I am going through the source code. of pkg module. I can read and write octave code.Passion - Some people climb mountains - others write Free software.
