I am wondering about the following NEWS for 2.2.2:
The linear-algebra package is expected to still work for older Octave
versions than 4.0.0 as this "isnumeric" check is only additional.
Is this still valid? Because it's not actually possible to install it:
octave:2> pkg install -forge linear-algebra
error: the following dependencies were unsatisfied:
linear-algebra needs octave >= 4.0.0
