Its not the USE_64_BIT_IDX_T macro name I rely on, ENABLE_64 is fine too. But
the --enable-64 detection mechanism of configure and the small cheking
routines (Fortran programs using Integer*8) seem to need it and keep failing
since that change and don't allow me to properly compile Octave using 64 bit
indices.
Other problems I haven't noticed so far. I think just replacing all
occurences of USE_64_BIT_IDX_T by ENABLE_64 will work perfectly.
