Good morning Emilyn.

If you are in need of some packages you can download the tar.gz releases from octave-forge and do a manual install "pkg install symbolic*.tar.gz". Some dependencies on other packages may appear.

This way is more easy and you don't need to rebuild again, url accessing support can not be added individually.
