Hi,
i want to develope a low cost uav.
The plan is to use radio link telemetry data (already used on satellites) to

track the height and location.
The important point is, that the uav must have a simple autopilot in order
to stabilize itself.
For electro models, a simple hacked 3$ mouse is used as sensor in addition
to a tilt sensor.
But for longer flights on models with gas engines, i need annother
type of autopilot.
Is you'r IR sensor suitable for this ?
How mutch you depend on gps data for altitude and pitch stabilisation ?
