[Paparazzi-devel] Tiny PCBs online...

Hello,

Ok, I will edit the Wiki Page on the Hardware to have my URL. It was all quite easy and I am glad people appreciate it. Since I do have a day job running out to mail these out during the day (I get them out within 24hrs of receiving PayPal notification) I may Pad Slightly more to as you say make it worth it. I just had no idea how many would want them. I send them out First Class USPS Mail to save costs on shipping. If someone orders more than a couple I'll need to charge more for shipping.

Here are the details how I had them made:
1. Make Gerbers
2. Login to: http://myropcb.com
3. Register
4. Fill out Quote
5. Upload Gerber File
6. Pay (I used PayPal)
7. Wait for UPS Global to Deliver :)

It takes 3-days to ship. Shipping charge is flat-rate 35.00 :( ... but they get to me in 3-days. Lead time for two layer board can be very short, as in a couple days. For 4-layer (Tiny1.3) it's more expensive as they charge a mandatory "test" charge and if you ask for less than 10 days lead time it's more expensive. So I used 10days for the Tiny1.3.

I was at first doing it only for me but when I calculated the cost for 1,5,10,20,50 it was extremely cost effective to simply go for the larger number as the per unit was quite low compared to the one time setup costs.

So, worst case if people need more than I have I can have more made in about 1-week.

Now off to edit the Wiki, glad I an contribute in some way to this project.

-David

That's great David! Please post your website link/contact info/ whatever on the "get hardware" page of the wiki and feel free to cleanup/revise/delete that entire page as it is all quite obsolete. And please charge whatever it takes to make it worth your time. It also may be useful for you to identify your pcb board fab company as well as a project ID of some sort so that others can simply re-order your setup without having to send gerbers and pay for the stencil creation.

Hi All,

I saw the place I bought the Tiny1.3 and Classix boards does not have
Tiny boards available. So I went ahead and had some made. When I saw
the high setup cost and low per unit after I just had a bunch made
(50) thinking surely more people like me may want some.

I am just trying to sell my extras at a very reasonable price to help
out. I have a website to take orders but don't want to post it as it
maybe inappropriate so if someone wants it just email me.

I have about 25 left last count. Tiny2.11 PCB 2-layer...if anyone
else is interested (I emailed Stephen/Oerjan/Santi already) just
reply to me.

Please, don't delete the "get hardware" page content !!!!

I've almost convice Olimex to manufacture and resell the Tiny v2, if this
page is empty, they will guess that less people are interrested to buy
Tinys.
I worked hard for that...
