Is it advisable to disable the electronic speed controller throttle brake function or not?

I have disabled it: the brake function makes sense mostly with a folding prop to make sure it will fold to reduce the drag.

If you disable it, you will have a more lineare response of the throttle : if you go fast and cut the throttle the propeller will keep turning and will act as an airbrake and the plane will "brake". Theoretically you can also reach a steeper glide angle at a lower speed when landing. One disadvantage though : the prop will continue turning as you land and that may increase the risk to brake it (to be proven…).
