Specs state range up to 1.5 km. Can anybody confirm that (or at least something close)? There are also two different moduels, one using the ZigBee protocol and one using 802.15.4 point-to-multipoint. Pros/cons of each?

from personal experience the 2.4 xbee pro are great as long as you
plan to fly only one platform and not multiplatform which was a
    problem for me.

I have been wondering recently what to stock for Eurpoeans in
regards to radio modems. The 868 Xbees looked promising but
don't seem like a good option now considering the 10% duty
cycle. I've heard decent things about the 2.4 GHz Xbee Pros.

What would you like to see available and why? Suggestions
about what to avoid (and why) are welcome as well.

        Buzz
