Hi,

To start the GCS without http you can launch the program with the option -no_google_http
It can be set by default for your favorite session by changing control_panel.xml or saving it from the paparazzi center.

Thank you David,

Until today I have done minor adjustments to the elevator neutral in the airframe file, to compensate for variations in elevator trim caused by temperature changes.

Today I did the following to my Twinstar2:

- Entered the original value for elevator neutral in the airframe file (i.e. the same as in the radio file, 1520)
- Disconnected the linkage to the rudder and locked it in neutral position with tape. The rudder has significant drift in trim following temperature changes when connected to the servo.
- Adjusted elevator trim to level flight in Manual by mechanically adjusting the linkage.
- Checked that the plane flew straight and level in Auto1 and could roll sufficiently left and right.

The result was that the plane could successfully circle left and right in Auto2, and the plane made a nice transition from one rotational direction to the opposite, and back.

The plane flies nicely now with the rudder stuck in neutral position, so I'll keep it this way.

BTW i found the definition of the Circle strip buttons in the Settings file. Still I would like to have the GCS in Maps policy = "no http" as default in the GCS, if this is configurable.

Thanks,
Helge.

Hello,

CheckList I would go down:
1. Plane flies straight and level in MANUAL|AUTO1 with no inputs from the Tx. (Be sure the plane isn't naturally turning right)
test: take off and assume level flight. let go of the sticks on the Tx and observe the planes behavior.
fails: take a note of the amount of up|down right|left required to fly level. Land and adjust the linkages to mimic these settings. Re-run test.
2. Max roll maybe should be increased? Allow the plane to roll more to the left.
3. Check your command laws to verify a limit doesn't exist restricting the aircraft's ability to follow the flight plan you wish. Fly it in the simulator and see if you have the same results.

Just ideas,
-David

It made several tight turns to break out from the existing circle, but never managed to enter the path of a left circle. When I clicked the Standby block again, normal right-turn Standby was re-established.
