Maikel,

But then aren't you limited to your own board?
If you want to use the paparazzi code, it makes sense to use a paparazzi board. If your board is new, untested and possibly buggy, and you try and port parts of paparazzi to it, the debugging is going to be the kind of thing that makes developers retrain as tree surgeons. If you are going to be limited to a board, it makes sense to use the same one as everyone else.

hey,

well with doing this, we are not limited to the paparazzi boards

actually i was hoping to just reuse the paparazzi code, but run it on our
own board, so we are not limited to the paparazzi boards.

Hi Maikel,

do you really want to re-invent all the stuff like serial gps chip,
gps parser, i2c IMU, wireless data modem and servo controller? It has
all been done in Paparazzi and is available open source. It is well
structured, soundly tested and has many features.

What added value are you expecting when you develop it yourself again?

Cheers, Reto
