Hi Kurtis

The EasyCap DC60+ unit is certainly plug and play for Unbuntu 10.04 upwards. I believe it requires the installtion of the included drivers for other OS's.

Spook is not a requirement to display video in the GCS.

I believe Martin et al employed it to deliver video from a remote paparazzi GCS across the internet.at a conference.

I used it a while back but, I believe it won't compile/build with current Unbuntu releases.- also Vodafone data card charges were prohibitive in New Zealand.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Gareth and Stephen,

Thank you for the advice on the video capture devices. I already have a video receiver, so I don't think I'll need the Pollin unit.
I'll look into the Pinnacle or EasyCap.

Are these devices mostly plug-and-play, or is there some configuration required?
Accodring to the wiki, I should use Spook to receive and compress the video data. Any updates or changes to this procedure?
Steve, thanks for the IMU code.
