Dear Rafael,
We have flown or Quadcopter with the Razzor-Imu.
Since you use the ADC inputs of the ADC  you can port the booz  code to this IOs.
The sensors need same vibration damping.
The INVENSENSE sensors are better in this point.
I have just fond  a good IMU PCB with SPI-Bus-Interface (160 Euros, Sensor 125 Euro) : http://shop.hy-line.de/index.php?page=product&info=681

PCB-pools is a german manufacture of PCBs and prototypes http://www.pcb-pool.com/
If you have Eagle Files from the design their can use  the data and construct  prototype PCBs for low cost.
I think that the ADXRS610 of the booz IMU is one of the best  rate sensor you can by.

Dear Heinrich,

I would like to use a (good) low-medium cost solution so the razor is a good idea. I've already soldered the Main PCB of the Booz and the GPS (resting the patch antenna). Have the razor Imu drivers implemented for the booz?
And what is the PC-Pool solution you say?

Rafael Espino.

Dear Rafael Espino,
if you don't want to solder the  Booz PCB self,
you can make a high end IMU with a cube with sparkfun modules using the ADXRS610 or the ADXRS620 and the acceleration   adx345.
PCBs with the adxrs620 cost about 42 Euro each.
Look  here  : https://www.akaflieg.hs-bremen.de/trac/akaflieg/wiki/airborne/hw/nano
If you want to have a low cost system you can use the razzor pcb (54 Euros).
Our first quadrorotor used the tiny  and a imu with Sparkefun modules.
It works well.
The solution with the i2c rate and acceleration sensors is offered by Sparkfun to.
If you can make a Eagle-version of the YAIMU you can construct  it with PC-Pool for low cost.

Regards,

Heinrich

Hi all,

I'm trying to make the paparazzi hardware. I have soldered the main and the GPS boards. I have soldered the IMU board too but I think I's going to fail due to the difficulty to solder Gyros and acceloremeters.
I would like to use another IMU. I'm thinking to buy Aspirin IMU or to make YAI IMU. Do they work with BOOZ? Has anyone try them?

Thanks in advance

 Regards,

Rafael Espino.
