Hello Anna,

if you do not identify the bias, scale factor, etc in your accelerometers, I would not trust on them for the taking off. As it is a short stage, the attitude should be fine relying only in gyrometers.

Cheers

Hi again,

Finally and up-to-now I have an IMU working according to the PFD. It is the arduimu firmware which runs (and not the arduimu_basic). This second one doesn’t get the sensors calibrated when uploaded (at least no led flashing). With the first one, I can see the leds flashing (calibrating), and then the movement in the PFD reflects real movement, without drifts or oscillations.

My question is if I can fly with this firmware without having a magnetometer connected to the imu (I can see a magnetometer file in the arduimu folder). And if using a magnetometer, are the autopilot, the imu and the magnetometer sharing the i2c bus? How must they be connected? (all sda together serially and all scl together?)

Is it recommended to disable accelerators during take-off? Airstart enabled? I guess I should update my paparazzi software version just in case there have been changes related to the IMU.

Thanks,

Ana
