order of the lines in radio.xml you are using vs what the Tx and Encoder is encoding.

Meaning Tx outputs to the Rx in a specific order the encoding. Then you run wires from the Rx to the Encoder...if you're doing 1:1 mapping then knowing the output order of your Tx/Rx will match the output of the encoded PPM combined signal to the Autopilot.

That radio.xml now defines in file format the channel order. So line 1 is the ch1 assignment and so on. You need 8 lines. This is important. So add a dummy line or remove lines if you have less or more than 8 assignment lines.

Also in my Tx I was able to map Ch5 to be the 3-pos switch. So the 5th row in the t7cap.xml (copy) radio file I'm using is the assignment for the mode.

It would help if you attached what's inside your radio.xml you're using. "default" files is too general there are many.

Hi all,
my setup is made of:
  • TWOG board
  • Xbee 869
  • IR TP
  • radio: JR D7 AR7000 with PPM board
  • GPS: LEA-H5
I got my GSC to work in tunnel mode and I am looking at the GPS trying to get a 3D fix (I think it is impossible to get a 3D fix indoors).

I started to test the AP mode change from MANUAL to MODE1 and then to MODE2 and here rises an issue.

just after starting, the AP it switches to HOME mode in this mode I see that servos are reacting to IR sensors ... when I change the AP mode to MANUAL the servos are still reacting to the IR sensor responses ... it is normal ? I thought that in MANUAL mode the IR are disabled and I can control the air plane with my radio. More confusing, I was trying to change the AP mode from my radio (by acting on my 3 position switch) but nothing happened ...  Is it possible to change the AP mode from the radio control ?

I checked the output of the PPM board and I can see the right output but it seems that the AP does not understand the radio information.

I am using the default paparazzi XML files.

Any idea about this problem ?
