Hi Imed,

enabling PPM messages (in your airframe file) and watching them (with
the messages tool) is very helpful for debgging your radio config.
Also many of your wires, RC reciever configuration, RC transmitter
programming etc...

If the AP is reacting to IR sensors when you are in Manual mode, you
are probably not actually in Manual mode, you are probably in failsafe
mode. Is your GPS reporting a position a long way from home (further
than the failsafe radius)? Is the AP actually receiving PPM?
