You can watch the values in the telemetry PPM for raw values and RC for calibrated values.

I agree about the GUI. Paparazzi has so far focused on technology more than on users but this is changing. There is already an issue-report for this.

firstly how to get the RC val , maybe GUI is good sensitive to teach
user . for example the GUI could show the RC throlle, yaw. range when
RC is operated by user.

Openpilot support such feature.
