[Paparazzi-devel] Problems with Serial Communication

Hello everyone,

Has anyone tried to connect the Yapa2 directly to the computer (without the use of Xbees) using the serial port of the computer? We are trying to connect the Yapa2 to the computer through the serial port that is marked on the attached picture. 

On the other hand, I think we have configured the "transparent serial" protocol. Basically all we did is the following on the airframe file:

  <firmware name="fixedwing">
     ...
    <subsystem name="telemetry"     type="transparent">
      <configure name="MODEM_BAUD"  value="B57600"/>
      <configure name="MODEM_PORT"  value="UART1"/>
    </subsystem>
  </firmware>

We are not sure if we have configured the "transparent serial" protocol correctly. The problem we are having is that the ground stays black. However, we don't get any errors from the Data Link on the Paparazzi Center.
