Thank your for the answer.
My question was more related to the possibility to do it !
It is good to hear the word "Reliability" :) some months ago I tried to collect informations about AP boards reliability ! because I had bad experience with some PTH08080WAH ship. It would be nice it there is a statistical study to analyse the path of failure of the AP !

Some time ago i do exactly what you say !
The problem is .. "its adaptation" ...

lisa_m is not so much expensive.
I live in Brasil, so here, the price is 4x the real one and i have 2 lisa board and some twog.

Way? because i not want to use an adapted hardware on my planes and rotorcrafts.

for adaptation you can use and MULTI-WII ! its cheap !

I have little know how in Electronics and some good skills in programming.

What I can't figure out is that since we have the same micro-controller as the one used for LISA board and the same free connectors and assuming that we can add resistor, capacitor where in some places ... why can't we load the code in the micro-controller ?

am I missing something ?

I dont think the cheap universal board with processor and IMU are good to use as autopilot.

since LISA/M has the same processor the code should be easy to be loaded in this ship no ?

the only job to make is the get the right interface with GPS, IMU and the TX/RX ?

or I am missing something more complex ?
