both Mediatek "DIYDrones" protocols 1.4/1.6 are implemented for Paparazzi and can be used for fixed wing. Not sure that it will work for quads as the protocol does e.g. not deliver ECEF. Some values are derived as they are missing (e.g. climb rate is calculated from consecutive altitude measurements).

The receiver behaved pretty poor in marginal situations. It reported the plane had kept flying the same direction/speed/altitude when the plane was in fact (intentionally) in a heavy spin and losing altitude. Not recommended.
