[Paparazzi-devel] Adjusting Rudder of Aileron

Hello everybody!

We are just days away from competition and I am pleased to announce that the
autopilot is flying surprisingly well in fly-by-wire and full auto.

We are now adjusting various gains to smooth out the flight and one of the
values we wanted to change was RUDDER_OF_AILERON. We believe this will let
us change how much the rudder moves when we are rolling for turns. I found
this value used in older airframes in a section called SERVO_MIXER_GAINS.
However, I couldn't find this value in any settings, so I tried adding it
myself. But I got the error "lvalue required as left operand of assignment"
but didn't understand what this meant.

I tried adding the following code to the settings in "attitude":

<dl_setting MAX="1" MIN="0" STEP="0.1" VAR="RUDDER_OF_AILERON"
shortname="rudder_of_aileron"/>

I was wondering if there was anybody who still uses this value and if they
do, how they implemented it.

On a side note, we flew the UAV in circles around our field with no problem
but once we started surveying an area with 100m radius, the plane started
rolling much more frequently and was not behaving too steady. If you guys
can think of different values that we should mess with that would be
fantastic!

Thanks again.

Matthew
