It is very unlikely that sending this message would restart the MCU.
Forcing one of the servo in extreme position and thus increasing the current might lead to voltage drop and MCU restart. You should check that pushing the servo to full position and even forcing a little bit by hand doesn't do anything bad.

Do you guys think this could have also been a source of the error that led
