Hi,

The outback setup also still works: the dual-lisa, one with only FBW code and the other with all more dangerous stuff you often change: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CtFCHSjI-A&list=UUowwYOGWaZsQp6ze9dB3ZeQ
This setup also accepts 2 futaba SBUS receivers (with inverted uart signal).

This way either futaba receiver may break down, and if you upload bad code to the AP, the manual flight trough FBW will still work.

Hi,

If your concern is that an issue with the autopilot will prevent you from switching to manual mode to take control of the aircraft then maybe a multiplexer is what you're after rather than two receivers. I haven't tried this so I'm not sure how well it works. You probably need to be careful setting it up so that autopilot doesn't get locked out if you lose rc signal. Maybe something like this will do the job: http://www.pololu.com/product/721

Good luck,
Dylan

EMCOTEC so not cheap!

Dear all,

I would like to know if anyone has ever used 2 RC receivers on board for redundancy purposes? If yes, how can I do this? What I would like to do is while having one receiver connected to the autopilot via de PPM encoder, have another one that is not connected to autopilot but goes directly to the servos in case of autopilot failure.

Best Regards,
Jorge
