Re: [Paparazzi-devel] Flying without Magnetometer and Barometer

Hi,

The magnetometer was never directly on Lisa/M, but on Aspirin.
Latest Aspirin has a MS5611 barometer which should be better than the BMP085 that used to be on the Lisa/M board (normally not populated anymore now on Lisa/M 2.0).

Cheers, Felix

Hi,
I think you have a MPU6000, magnetometer  and pressure sensor on the asprin2.0.
For normal wing aircraft you don't need a magnetometer and the pressure sensor.

Does it have a mpu6050 or mpu9150 chip on the aspirin ?

It will be able to fly (gyro and accel are present), but with mag and preasure sensor it would be more accurate (attitude heading and altitude).

Maybe you should talk to your vendor.

Hi all,

I have recently received my Lisa/M but when comparing my new Lisa with the
old Lisa I saw that the new one didn't have a magnetometer and barometer.
Would it still be able to fly without these two?

Thanks
