Hi,

to simulate multiple aircrafts you "simply" one simulator agent per aircraft (but you only need one server, GCS).
So the simplest to test this out is probably first start a simulator session with one aircraft and then add another, e.g.:
- select the ardrone2, build the nps target, launch the Simulator session (which will start the simulator agent for the ARDrone2, the server and the GCS)
- select the bebop, build nps target, go to tools->simulator and adjust the command to ../paparazzi/sw/simulator/pprzsim-launch -a bebop -t nps

Voila, you should have two aircrafts running in Simulation.

Cheers, Felix

Oh, OK, ARDrone, interesting. Look up the airframe files for TUDelft and ENAC they use multiple ARDrones for IMAV competitions.
The airframe files are out there for all to see/use/learn.

Hey David,

that's a very fast reply thank you so much! Yes, in real flights I would try to connect 2 AR Drones on one router, so with defining two different IP adresses, it is logical that the laptop sees two UAVs (I guess this is logical). But for now I just want to connect two drones in simulation, is that even possible?

Hello,
Were have all been there, rest assured not a problem with you. Each drone needs to also send telemetry to the GCS for it to create another colored trace and show the data for each. Do your radios have unique ids so when both Drones are powered the GCS laptop modem can receive the messages from each?
XBee in API do this transparently. XBee in 'transparent' non-api mode do not.

Hey everyone,
I think I am the biggest noob in Paparazzi here because I see everyone busy
on how to do things with multiple UAVs in the GCS, while I am still figuring
out how I can add more than one UAV in the GCS. I read the wiki and I tried
everything that I could (adding formation_flight.xml or add aircraft) but I
still didn't find out how I can add multiple UAVs in one nice GCS.
I assume, different airframe files are needed since every UAV has its own
behavior. Tried starting the session for the second time, but it just opens
a new GCS with a single UAV. Help is appreciated! I feel stupid though...
Searched through the whole wiki including the multiUAV page, but other than
the TCAS function and nice pictures where multiple UAVs are shown I can't
find how to add it.

Want to start this in simulation before advancing to real flights (where IP
addresses need to be set when AR.Drones are used, fortunately I understand
this part). Thank you all!!!
