Good notice, thanks!I _never_ came to think of that (and its not obvious from the makefiles..)
Actually, this is very easy to happen since I run Gentoo in a VPC sandbox. It's on and off for _days_.. Now the time was in March.. ;)

Bad timestamps. The time of the CVS server and your local machine differ. During building the scripts check if there are local changes. If your local "Makefile.am" has a future timestamp the "Makefile" will be regenerated and the buildprocess starts again and again and again,... Check your local time. Alex
