It's highly possible. this is a redhat 8 box. Installed packages:
httpd-2.0.40-11
php-4.2.2-8.0.5

Also - I upgraded the database from .14 to .14.001 (latest) - and using
the standard phpGW files I'm able to login. My SiteMgr driven site dies
(I've modified this some) and my custom login screen was gone. So I will
attempt to move my site info to the new code.

unless RH8 is know to be really bad - in which case I'll move it to a
RH7.3 box or downgrade the httpd and php packages.
