Hmmm ... I have looked at this one.  It looks like you don't have any news in 
the "Main" category.

I have added a thing that will display no news available.  Unfortunately I 
can't find anywhere to set display news on the welcome screen - it looks like 
this is a half implemenented feature.  Please log this as a feature request.

oh yeah ... i forgot to fix this one.  I will post here when it is fixed in cvs
