There were some issues with this functionality, but it will
be available in the soon to be released 0.9.16 release.

It should already be able to do this. If you click on the
event, you should notice the attendees name along with a
status enclosed in () (A)/(U)/(R)... the user should be
allowed to click on that link and modify there intention.
I know at one time, I had the email portion working where
the user has the option to accept/reject. I believ
throught the re-writing of the email app, this feature was
lost. This part will be working in a more robust manner as
we will be able to actually respond to the [I/V]cal
format. This will allow us to respond to M$
Outlook/Evolution/KDE/etc type calendar events.
