This has been corrected in CVS.
To grab a complete update of all fixes:
1) Check to see if you have cvs installed: 'cvs --help'.
1a) If not, install a copy of cvs-cli from your favorite
distro.
2) Then just type:
'cd <your phpgroupware dir>; cvs update -dP'.
You can do step 2 as many times in a day as you wish, and
will always get the most current bug fixes.
Thanks,

Category: email Bug Group: 0.9.14.001 release
Severity: 5 - Major Priority: High
Resolution: Fixed Assigned to: angles
Status: Closed Component Version: CVS
Platform Version: Linux - Mandrake Reproducibility: Every Time
Summary: Single quotes in filters which are stored in preferences cause
preference crash
Original Submission: Preferences are lost if the filter in the email contains
a single quote.
Don't know if this is a problem in any other area where a single quote can be
entered in a preference.
Would suggest an object for the preferences that can add and remove items as
needed, or an interface to add and remove them so that single quotes can be
handled correctly, instead of erroring out.
Suspect the error is in the SQL statement generated by the preferences module
since MySQL use single quotes to delimit character data.
No proof. Just an educated guess for who ever is going to fix it.

P.S. I lost my preferences 10 times last night like clockwork. Lucky I had
saved the array.

This is a known problem with the preferences database. I'll apply the same
database "defang" procedure to the filters that is already applied to the other
email prefs.
