I got the same problem!
it's not even possible to create an admin account!
maybe the problem is that we both run MySQL 5 - i had many problems with my
own scripts after the upate, too.
my config:
WinXP SP2
Apache 2.2.0
MySQL 5.0.18
PHP 5.1.1
