You could just use Visual C++ 6 and everything sould work. ;-)
It's really an old version of the boost headers which only has #ifdefs for VC6
and since VC7 is a hell lot better the old workarounds are now recognized as
bugs.

I don't know neither what the problem here is. I know that VC7 still has some
problems with namespace and templates so it may be that the boost headers are
at fault here too. Otherwise it's a bug in VC7 since GCC 3.2 compiles the
code in it's strictest mode without warnings.
If you're willing to help I'll update the boost headers to a recent version,
shouldn't hurt anyway. ;-)
