Yup...

 

First, the  "plex.org" domain and webserver are no longer.  See http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/plex86 for what we currently have in the way of documentation.

 

Second... The problem you are having is related to the version of Openjade you have installed on your machine.  There are a few possible solutions that come to mind here..

1.  You can edit the makefile by hand to adjust the version of openjade so it can be found.

2.  You can add a symbolic link to provide an alternate name for /usr/share/doc/openjade-1.3.1 that matches the makefile

3.  You could install an older version of openjade.

 

Of course these are just temporary solutions.  The real solution involves making this makefile a product of the configure process so the proper path is computed for each system based upon the version of openjade installed.

 

Just so you know, I had the same problem, used method 1 and got the documentation built.  It's not that helpful, but it's a start.  There is a lot of useful information in the boch's stuff that applies, as well as some disk images you are going to need...

I could not connect to ftp://plex.org/docs/
referenced in plex86-release/docs/README.

I didn't managed to generate the HTML documentation.
I get the following error message:
