GUI status update

I've checked in a version of psppire which now achieves basic
reading/writing/editing of system files. I think it's reasonably robust
and maybe on the verge of being usable for semi-serious work. There's
a lot of scope for improvement, but I think it's a good start.
Let me know how you find it.

In order to get to this stage, I had to make a fairly drastic
modification to the GtkSheet widget. I'm talking to the maintainer of
that library with a view to having these mods incorporated into his
code. If he doesn't want to do that, then we'll just have to maintain
our own fork here.

Any bugs you find please let me know. Any missing features that aren't
listed in TODO please let me know. Any missing features which are
listed in TODO, but the absence of, you think, makes the software
unusable please let me know that too.
