As you might have noticed from the giant emails to pspp-cvs, I've
now created a branch where I'm working on the restructured
procedure support that I described earlier on this list.  It's
definitely a work in progress: there are hardly any comments, and
it doesn't entirely work.

My current priority is to finish up and test and debug the
datasheet[*] support.  "Finish it up" in this case mainly means
to finish implementing a bunch of basic data structures in
libpspp that so far just have prototypes.

[*] My current thought on naming for the datasheet is "datagrid".

After that, there's cleanup and documentation.  And I'm hoping to
break the difficult parts up into easier chunks for review before
merging.
