Without doing this, what symbols in libregex does the linker
complain about?  Probably, if we know what symbols to look for,
we can make sure that we link against libregex if it is
Only wimps use tape backup: _real_ men just upload their important stuff
on ftp, and let the rest of the world mirror it ;)
