     Yes, John mentioned this too.  It seems that there is a bug in the
     "gendocs.sh" script that generates the HTML tarball.  There might be a
     problem in PSPP also (or maybe John has already fixed it).
     
Ben,

If in your buildbot script, where you call gendocs.sh you add the arguments
-I <path-to-source>/doc  
then I think it should work.

Also, if you get the most recent copy of gendocs.sh it will produce an error, 
when
it sees a reference to a file which it can't find in its search path.
