This error is not serious.  It is one likely to be one that has
likely been fixed in CVS, I believe.

This one is more worrisome.  Would you mind trying either current
CVS or the PSPP snapshot at ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/pspp to see
whether it is still present?
