I'm using Fedora 9 and I have installed Fedora's plotutils RPM which provides libplot...

address@hidden pspp-0.6.1]$ ls -l /usr/lib/libplot*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 2008-12-30 19:40 /usr/lib/libplot.so.2 -> libplot.so.2.2.2
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1209424 2008-02-19 03:17 /usr/lib/libplot.so.2.2.2
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 19 2008-12-30 19:40 /usr/lib/libplotter.so.2 -> libplotter.so.2.2.2
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1146952 2008-02-19 03:17 /usr/lib/libplotter.so.2.2.2

...but configure doesn't seem to notice:*

*checking for pl_newpl_r in -lplot... (cached) no
configure: WARNING: You must install libplot (or use --without-libplot) before building PSPP.

How do I convince configure that I do have the dependency?
