I'll try if you can point me to a compiled 0.7.10 for Ubuntu 12.04.  The 
only 0.7.10 I can find is

and trying to compile it I run into dependencies that are not in my 
repositories.  I am reluctant to be chasing down such things in terms of 
both time and monkeying around with my system.
