[Ranger-users] in travel cannot navigate to parent dir with ..

The following

:scout -aefklst ..

does not navigate to parent directory. Instead I think it tries to
filter for files such as

abc.one.two

(so most of time it says simply "empty").

How can I make it so ..  takes me to parent directory?

I am close to feeling more comfortable with ranger. I appreciate your
help so much! Everyone here is so kind.
