I think it *is* logical. After all, ratpoison starts up quickly, so
if I accidentaly closed the last window, ratpoison will be ready within
a few seconds.

I would suggest that ratpoison would start up an xterm, like screen
does with the shell. However, I would make this a compile time option
that defaults to whatever xterm is set to.
