This sounds nice! I'm compiling the pathed ratpoison right now..

Umm. Next time could you please post unidiff (diff -u), relative to the
ratpoison directory? Eg:

~/src/ratpoison-cvs$ cvs -q diff -u >foo.diff

I had a little trouble applying your patch: I needed to enter the
filenames manually, as they were residing in different subdirs.
