* Moving stuff to/from the docs to/from the wiki,
*   FDL,
*   Dual licensing,

   In short, I thing the docs should be kept as a short and concise
   documentation of features, while the wiki can be used to explore
   the dusty corners that the docs doesn't go into

I agree with you about this.

   [Moving stuff to docs from wiki]
   I don't think a need for that is likely to appear.

That may be true. If it does, I think this could be handled
case-by-case. *If* for some reason that became tedious, *then* the
docs could be relicensed.

   [Moving stuff to wiki from docs]
   by having the documentation author copy stuff from the
   documentation to the wiki

Asking the author's permission to copy or asking them to
dual-license the docs seems like a more workable solution to me.

My summary.

I think you've made an effective case for why it isn't essential to
dual license the wiki.

I do think it is desireable to be able to copy things from the docs
(or mailing list) to the wiki sometimes, though. Perhaps it is best
to deal with this on a case-by-case basis too.

I think it would be better if GNU FDL/GPL were compatible both ways,
but I think we'll be OK even if they aren't as long as we behave
sanely and try to adhere to the "spirit" of the two documents.
