After looking at the source, this will not work. At the moment you'll
have to rebuild ratpoison and edit conf.h to change the default
font. I'm not sure what the best way to solve this problem is. The
easy solution would be to check the RP_FONT environment variable and
if it exists, use that as the default font. But then what's the point
of deffont in the rc file? Convenience I guess.

Strange. I don't have that problem. Do others have this issue? What
version are you running?
