There has been a long standing issue when using Xnest in ratpoison,
namely the modifier keys seem to always be getting messed up. Every
time I see a reference to this, people blame ratpoison. The problem
actually lies with xnest.
I posted a bug report to x.org, and someone has posted a patch for
xnest at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3030. Hopefully
this will be incorporated into the mainline. If not, you can build X
yourself with the patch.
Does this patch also solve the problem I am having? That is, if I have
the Xnest window focused, and press, say, C-t C-t, to switch window, it
will switch windows, but also act like C-t was pressed in Xnest.
