[RP] Anybody used ratpoison on Wayland, esp. with multiple monitors

Hello,

I have recently installed Debian testing on a new system.  Without
prompting, it has chosen to use Wayland in lieu of Xorg.  So far, so
good.  However, ratpoison seems to not work well at all on Wayland.  It
recognises two of my monitors and allows me to nextscreen/prevscreen but
all attempts to open a window on anything other than the first monitor
fails.

I know next to nothing about Wayland (although doing my best to
learn...).

Anybody have any pointers and/or success stories for this combination?
