A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
david nicol <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: TipJar Authenticated Identity Service
System name: tjais
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
A small handfull of perl CGI programs allow third-party authentications against
a single-sign-on database kept on the
server where these scripts live, against return-e-mail-verified
identities.
Use of this package will allow multiple sites to share the
same authenticated user information instead of the user needing
to log in to each one he visits.
It works, and is described as of a few months ago at
http://www.tipjar.com/nettoys/TJAIS.html
which features a working demonstration.
There is no additional client software using the service at this time
however.
